Ralph W. G Wyckoff
Ralph Walter Graystone Wyckoff (1897-1994) was an American chemist and pioneer in X-ray crystallography, renowned for developing techniques to determine crystal structures using X-ray diffraction methods, including the Laue method. He made significant contributions to the study of biological substances, electron microscopy, and vaccine development against viruses like epidemic typhus and Western Equine Encephalomyelitis. Wyckoff authored key works such as 'The Analytical Expression of the Results of the Theory of Space Groups' (1922), which laid groundwork for the International Tables for X-ray Crystallography.
