Ralph Burns

Ralph Burns was an American jazz pianist, composer, and arranger best known for his work with big bands in the 1940s, especially Woody Herman's orchestra. He later built a successful career in Broadway, film, and television music, earning two Academy Awards and a Tony Award for his arranging and composing work.
