Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, also known as Kanthapuram A.P. Aboobacker Musliyar, is a prominent Indian Islamic scholar, Grand Mufti of India since 2019, founder and chancellor of Jamia Markaz in Kerala, and general secretary of the All India Sunni Jamiyyathul Ulama. He has authored over 60 books in Arabic, Urdu, and Malayalam, and issues fatwas within the Barelvi tradition of Sunni Islam. Recognized for his influence, he has intervened in international matters, such as advocating for the postponement of an execution in Yemen.
