Rachel Qitsualik-Tinsley ,
Rachel Qitsualik-Tinsley is a Canadian writer of Inuk, Scottish, and Cree descent, born in 1953 in a hunting camp at the northern tip of Baffin Island, Nunavut. She is known for her works on Inuit culture, mythology, and Arctic shamanism, often co-authored with her husband Sean Qitsualik-Tinsley, and has received awards including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and the Burt Award for First Nations, Métis and Inuit Literature.
