Rachel Isadora
Rachel Isadora is an American illustrator, children's book author, and painter born in 1953 in New York City. She began her career as a professional ballet dancer, training at George Balanchine's School of American Ballet, but a foot injury forced her to retire early and pursue her passion for visual arts. She has since written and illustrated over 200 children's books, many adapted to film, music, and dance, and is most famous for her Caldecott Honor Book *Ben's Trumpet*.
