Rachel Atkins

Rachel Atkins is a Seattle-based playwright and teaching artist who serves as the longtime scriptwriter for Living Voices, the educational theatre partner of TheatreworksUSA, with 13 multimedia shows on history and social justice seen by over 4 million audience members across North America. Her play Black Like Us received the Theatre Puget Sound Gregory Award for Outstanding New Play and was nominated for the American Theatre Critics Association Steinberg New Play Award. She graduated from Dartmouth College and holds a Master's in Educational Theatre from New York University.
