Queenie
Candice Carty-Williams is a British writer and showrunner best known for her debut novel, Queenie (2019), a contemporary story about a young Jamaican British woman navigating identity, relationships, and mental health in London. She has also written the novels People Person and Queenie Is Working On It, and became the first Black woman to win the British Book Awards' Book of the Year for Queenie.
