Psyche Cattell
Psyche Cattell (August 2, 1893 – April 17, 1989) was an American psychologist renowned for her pioneering work in childhood intelligence and cognitive development. She is best known for creating the Cattell Infant Intelligence Scale in 1940, which enabled intelligence testing for children aged 2 to 30 months, and for establishing the West End Nursery School in 1941 to educate young children [1][2]. Cattell was the first woman to earn a Doctorate in Education and published key works including The Measurement of Intelligence of Infants and Young Children [1][6].
