Propertius

Propertius was a Latin elegiac poet from the Augustan age, known for his passionate and often autobiographical love poems, primarily addressed to his mistress Cynthia. He lived from approximately 50–45 BCE to around 15–2 BCE, and his work had a significant influence on later Roman and European poetry. His four books of elegies explore themes of love, loss, and Roman mythology.
