Professor Dean Nelson

Dean E. Nelson, Ph.D., is a professor of journalism, founder and director of the journalism program at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, and host of the Writer's Symposium by the Sea. He is an award-winning journalist published in outlets like The New York Times, Boston Globe, and Christianity Today, and has authored or co-authored 14-15 books, including Talk to Me and Quantum Leap. Nelson holds a Ph.D. in journalism from Ohio University, a master's from the University of Missouri, and a bachelor's from MidAmerica Nazarene University, with extensive global reporting experience.[1][3][4][5]
