Pierre Théberge

Pierre Théberge (1942–2018) was a Canadian art historian, curator, and museum director known for his advocacy of Canadian art. He served as chief curator at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (1979–1985), director there (1986–1997), and director of the National Gallery of Canada (1998–2008), organizing major exhibitions and contributing numerous catalogues and articles.[1][2][3]
