Philip P. Betancourt
Philip P. Betancourt (born 1936 as Felipe Pablo Andreas Betancourt) is an American archaeologist, educator, and author specializing in the Aegean Bronze Age. He served as the Laura H. Carnell Professor of Art History and Archaeology at Temple University's Tyler School of Art and as an adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania. He directed a major interdisciplinary study of Minoan pottery and received the AIA Gold Medal for his lifetime of distinguished archaeological achievement.[1][2][5]
