Philip G Zimbardo
Philip G. Zimbardo was an American psychologist and professor emeritus at Stanford University, best known for his 1971 Stanford Prison Experiment, which demonstrated how social situations influence human behavior. He authored over 500 articles, chapters, and books on topics including time perspective, cognitive dissonance, the psychology of evil, shyness, and heroism. In his later years, he founded the Heroic Imagination Project to promote everyday heroism and teach people to resist bullying and negative conformity.
