Peter Rietbergen

Peter Rietbergen is an emeritus professor of cultural history at Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. He is a Dutch historian and writer best known for his work 'Europe: A Cultural History,' which provides a comprehensive review of European cultural history from the Roman Empire to the post-WWII era. He has authored 15 books and also writes historical fiction under the pseudonym Nicolaas Berg.
