Peter J. Bowler

Peter John Bowler FBA (born October 8, 1944) is a British historian of biology and professor emeritus of the history of science at Queen's University Belfast, known for his extensive writings on the history of evolutionary thought, environmental sciences, and genetics[1][4]. He is a Fellow of the British Academy and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and his book Evolution: The History of an Idea is a standard textbook in the field[1][3].
