Peter Huber

Peter J. Huber is a Swiss statistician known for foundational work in robust statistics, including his influential paper “Robust Estimation of a Location Parameter.” He earned his mathematics degrees at ETH Zurich, later held professorships at Harvard, MIT, and the University of Bayreuth, and also wrote on Babylonian mathematics and history.
