Peter Crittenden
Peter Crittenden is a British lichenologist renowned for his research in the ecophysiology of lichens, including nitrogen and phosphorus uptake, axenic culture of lichen-forming fungi, and innovative techniques like 3D printing and X-ray computed tomography. He graduated in botany from the University of London in 1971, joined the University of Nottingham as a lecturer in 1981, and served as senior editor of The Lichenologist from 2000 to 2019, while also presiding over the British Lichen Society from 1998 to 1999.
