Pete Hamill
William Peter Hamill (June 24, 1935 – August 5, 2020) was an American journalist, novelist, essayist, editor, and educator who served as a columnist and editor for the New York Post and the New York Daily News[1][2]. He authored eight novels, two collections of stories, and the bestselling memoir A Drinking Life, and won the Grammy Award for Best Album Notes in 1976[4][5].
