Percy A. Scholes (Percy Alfred Scholes) was an English musician, journalist, and prolific writer best known for compiling the first edition of The Oxford Companion to Music. He also wrote widely on music appreciation and music history, and his 1948 biography The Great Dr Burney won the James Tait Black Memorial Prize.
