Penelope Fitzgerald

Penelope Fitzgerald (1916–2000) was an English novelist, poet, essayist, and biographer born in Lincoln, England, into a literary family; she began publishing in her late 50s after working at the BBC and running a bookshop. She won the Booker Prize for her novel Offshore in 1979 and was shortlisted twice more, with her works praised for their precision, wit, and economy, including her final novel The Blue Flower.[1][2][3]
