Pelham Grenville Wodehouse
Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse (1881–1975) was a renowned English author and one of the most widely read humorists of the 20th century, best known for creating the iconic characters Bertie Wooster and his valet Jeeves. He wrote over 90 books, including novels and short stories, and also contributed to musical theater as a lyricist and playwright, crafting a whimsical literary universe celebrated for its unique use of the English language. Wodehouse was born in Guildford, Surrey, England, and later became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1955.
