Paul White
Paul Hamilton Hume White (1910-1992) was an Australian missionary doctor who served in Tanganyika (now Tanzania) from 1938 with his wife Mary, establishing a hospital and using storytelling to communicate Christian teachings. After health issues forced their return to Australia, he authored the popular 'Jungle Doctor' series of over 50 books, blending African adventures with moral lessons, translated into more than 100 languages and selling over a million copies. His work also inspired a 25-year radio program and drew from his autobiography 'Alias Jungle Doctor.'
