Paul Kropp
Paul Kropp (1948-2015) was a Canadian author, teacher, and publisher born in Buffalo, New York, who moved to Canada in 1970 and focused on writing engaging books for reluctant young readers.[1][2][3] His first book, *Burn Out* (1977), targeted teens who disliked reading, and he authored over 70 novels addressing contemporary issues with simple plots and accessible vocabulary, alongside co-founding High Interest Publishing in 2002.[1][3][4] Kropp also wrote non-fiction for parents on promoting reading and led the Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators, & Performers.[1][4]
