Paul J Kramer
Paul Jackson Kramer was a renowned plant physiologist, educator, and author who spent his entire professional career at Duke University, joining the faculty in 1931 and retiring in 1974 as James B. Duke Professor of Botany.[1][5] He earned his B.A. from Miami University in 1926, M.S. and Ph.D. from Ohio State University in 1929 and 1931, respectively, and authored over 200 publications on plant water relations and tree physiology, shaping the careers of more than 40 graduate students.[5] Kramer served in various scientific organizations, including the National Science Foundation, and was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 1962.[1][7]
