Patrick Taylor
Patrick Taylor, born in 1941 in Bangor, Northern Ireland, is a retired medical researcher, professor emeritus at the University of British Columbia, and bestselling novelist best known for his Irish Country series set in a fictional Northern Irish village. He studied medicine at Queen's University of Belfast, practiced in rural Ulster, and immigrated to Canada in 1970, where he worked in human infertility research before focusing on writing. Taylor, who retired from authoring in 2021, now resides on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia.
