Patrick Kennedy
Patrick Kennedy was an Irish folklorist from County Wexford, born in early 1801, who worked as an educator and bookseller before becoming renowned for collecting and publishing Irish folktales and folklore, particularly from his native region. His key works include 'Legendary Fictions of the Irish Celts' (1866), 'Fireside Stories of Ireland' (1870), and 'Bardic Stories of Ireland' (1871), which preserved oral traditions and influenced the Celtic Revival. He died on 29 March 1873 in Dublin.
