Patrick Dearen

Patrick Dearen, a Texas Literary Hall of Fame member (class of 2022), is the author of twenty-nine books, including nineteen novels and ten nonfiction works focused on Western history, particularly the Pecos and Devils rivers and old-time cowboy life.[1][2] Born in 1951 in Sterling City, Texas, he earned a bachelor of journalism from The University of Texas at Austin in 1974, worked as an award-winning reporter for West Texas newspapers, and now resides in Midland, Texas, with his wife Mary.[1][3]
