P. T. Deutermann
P. T. Deutermann is an American author of mystery, police procedural, thriller, and detective novels, as well as military fiction, born on December 27, 1941, in Boston, Massachusetts. A retired U.S. Navy Captain who served from 1963 to 1989, including command of a gunboat in Vietnam and a destroyer during the Lebanon Crisis, he transitioned to writing after a career in naval operations and arms control negotiations. His notable works include the military thriller 'Scorpion in the Sea' and World War II novels like 'Pacific Glory,' which won the W. Y. Boyd Literary Award.
