Ovid

Ovid (Publius Ovidius Naso) was a Roman poet born in Sulmo, Italy, in 43 BCE and is one of the major figures of Latin literature.[2][4] He is best known for works such as *Metamorphoses*, *Ars amatoria*, and *Amores*; after falling out of favor with Augustus, he was exiled to Tomis, where he died.[2][4]
