Oric Bates

Oric Bates was an American archaeologist, author, and Egyptologist known for his expeditions in Libya and Sudan and his scholarly works on African ethnology. He served as a curator at the Peabody Museum of Ethnology and Archaeology and was the director of the Egyptian Department at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. His notable publications include 'The Eastern Libyans' and 'A Madcap Cruise'.
