Ola Rotimi

Ola Rotimi (Olawale Gladstone Emmanuel Rotimi) was a Nigerian playwright, director, and scholar known for blending African history, politics, and Yoruba culture in his work. Born in Sapele, Nigeria, he studied at Boston University and Yale University and became one of Nigeria’s leading figures in modern theatre. His best-known plays include "The Gods Are Not To Blame," "Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again," and "Ovonramwen Nogbaisi."
