Northrup Frye
Herman Northrop Frye (1912–1991) was a Canadian literary critic and theorist best known for his influential works Fearful Symmetry and Anatomy of Criticism. He taught for much of his career at the University of Toronto and became one of the most important figures in 20th-century literary criticism, especially for his studies of William Blake, archetypes, and mythic patterns in literature.
