Norman K Glendenning

Norman K. Glendenning was a distinguished nuclear theorist born in Gait, Canada, on January 17, 1931, who earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from McMaster University and a PhD in theoretical physics from Indiana University in 1959. He spent his entire professional career at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory starting in 1958, researching theoretical nuclear physics for about 20 years before focusing on neutron stars and compact stars, authoring 273 scientific papers and books like 'Direct Nuclear Reactions' and 'Compact Stars.'
