Nicola Humble

Nicola Humble was born in Singapore in 1964 and grew up across England, with six years spent in Germany. She studied English at Wadham College, Oxford, and later completed a PhD on Robert Browning and history. Humble is a literary scholar whose work focuses on nineteenth- and twentieth-century literature and cultural history, especially the middlebrow novel and food writing.
