Nick Thorpe

Nick Thorpe is an award-winning British journalist, documentary filmmaker, and writer born in February 1960. He has served as BBC Central Europe Correspondent since 1996, based in Budapest, with over 30 years of experience reporting on Eastern Europe. He is also a professional life coach and author of several books including 'The Danube: A Journey Upriver from the Black Sea to the Black Forest' and 'Adrift in Caledonia: Boat-hitching for the Unenlightened.'
