Nicholas deB Katzenbach
Nicholas deB. Katzenbach was a prominent American lawyer and government official who served as the U.S. Attorney General under President Lyndon B. Johnson, playing a key role in federal desegregation efforts and civil rights legislation during the 1960s. He also held positions as Deputy Attorney General and U.S. Under Secretary of State, contributing significantly to Kennedy and Johnson administration policies on racial equality and the Vietnam War. Katzenbach was born in Philadelphia and raised in New Jersey, and he died at age 90 in Skillman, New Jersey.
