Nic Bishop
Nic Bishop is a New Zealand-born author and photographer specializing in natural history and children's science books, renowned for his stop-action wildlife photography in award-winning titles like Red-eyed Tree Frog and The Tarantula Scientist. Trained as a biologist with a Ph.D. in plant science from the University of Canterbury, he worked as a research fellow at Massey University and tutor at the University of Canterbury before becoming a full-time writer and photographer in 1988. His works explore animals, insects, and New Zealand's natural environments, blending scientific expertise with captivating visuals.
