Nelson W. Polsby

Nelson W. Polsby (1934–2007) was an American political scientist known for his influential scholarship on the U.S. Congress, the presidency, political parties, and policymaking. He was the Heller Professor of Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley, and wrote widely read analyses noted for their clarity, insight, and practical understanding of American political institutions.
