Neil Simon
Neil Simon (1927-2018) was an American playwright, screenwriter, and author renowned for his comedic works, including Broadway hits like Barefoot in the Park (1963) and The Odd Couple (1965), for which he won Tony Awards.[1][2][3] He began his career writing comedy for radio and television before achieving stage success with Come Blow Your Horn (1961) and later earning the Pulitzer Prize for Lost in Yonkers (1991).[1][3] Simon wrote over 30 plays and numerous screenplays, receiving multiple awards including Kennedy Center Honors and the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.[3]
