Neil Armstrong

Neil Armstrong was an American astronaut, test pilot, and engineer who became the first person to walk on the Moon during NASA's Apollo 11 mission on July 20, 1969. He famously declared, 'That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind,' and later served as a university professor of engineering in Ohio. Armstrong died on August 25, 2012, from complications related to cardiovascular surgery.
