Nancy Sherman

Nancy Sherman is a Distinguished University Professor and Professor of Philosophy at Georgetown University, specializing in ethics with a focus on ancient Greek and Roman philosophy, particularly Stoic ethics. She served as the inaugural Distinguished Chair in Ethics at the United States Naval Academy from 1997 to 1999 and has been influential in military ethics scholarship for over 20 years. Sherman has authored numerous books including 'Stoic Warriors: The Ancient Philosophy Behind the Military Mind' and 'The Untold War: Inside the Hearts, Minds, and Souls of Our Soldiers.'
