Nancy Loewen
Nancy Loewen was born on June 20, 1964, in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, and grew up on a farm in southwestern Minnesota surrounded by library books and cats.[1][2] She has published nearly 140 books for children and young adults, including award-winning titles like Four to the Pole and The LAST Day of Kindergarten, and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Hamline University.[2][4] She lives in Saint Paul, works as an editor, college application essay coach, and tutor, and enjoys reading, cooking, long walks, and photographing thrift store oddities.[2][4]
