N K Jemisin

N.K. Jemisin (born Nora Keita Jemisin) is an acclaimed American author of science fiction and fantasy, best known for her Broken Earth trilogy, which won the Hugo Award for Best Novel in three consecutive years (2016–2018). She is the first African American writer to win a Hugo Award in the Best Novel category and a recipient of the prestigious MacArthur Fellowship, often called a 'genius grant'.
