Myrtle Ashmole and Philip Ashmole were a British husband-and-wife team of zoologists and conservationists who co-authored 'Natural History of Tenerife,' documenting the wildlife and ecology of the island. Philip Ashmole, born in 1934 in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, was a prominent figure in conservation, while Myrtle contributed significantly to their collaborative scientific work.
