Mushirul Hasan
Mushirul Hasan was a renowned Indian historian specializing in modern Indian history, particularly the partition of India, communalism, and Islam in South Asia. He served as Professor of Modern Indian History at Jamia Millia Islamia, Vice-Chancellor there from 2004-2009, and Director-General of the National Archives of India.[1][2][4] He authored numerous books including 'The Nehrus: Personal Histories' and 'Wit and Humour in Colonial North India', and was a prominent advocate for secularism.[2][3]
