Mrs Rhys Davids

Mrs. Rhys Davids, born Caroline Augusta Foley Rhys Davids (1857–1942), was a distinguished British scholar, translator, and editor renowned for her work on Buddhist texts in the Pāli language. She served as the president of the Pali Text Society from 1923 to 1942 and was a pioneering Western author on Buddhist thought, translating key portions of the Pāli Tipiṭaka into English.
