Monica Hess

Monica Hesse is an acclaimed American journalist and author known for her young adult fiction, including the Edgar Award-winning novel Girl in the Blue Coat, as well as her nonfiction work American Fire. She serves as the first gender columnist for The Washington Post and has received multiple awards, including the Society for Feature Journalism's Narrative Storytelling award, and was a finalist for the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Commentary.
