Mitch Albom is an American author, sports journalist, radio and television broadcaster, screenwriter, playwright, musician, and philanthropist best known for his memoir Tuesdays with Morrie, the bestselling memoir of all time with over 17 million copies sold. His books have collectively sold more than 40 million copies worldwide, translated into 48 languages, and several have been adapted into Emmy Award-winning television movies. He founded nonprofits SAY Detroit and Have Faith Haiti to support those in need through health, housing, education, and orphan care initiatives.
