Milton Bearden
Milton Bearden is a retired CIA officer and author who served as a 30-year veteran of the agency, masterminding and running the CIA's covert operations in Afghanistan.[2] He served as station chief in Pakistan, Moscow, and Khartoum, and trained Afghan freedom fighters during the Soviet war in Afghanistan.[2] Bearden is an accomplished author known for works including "The Black Tulip," a novel about war in Afghanistan, and "The Main Enemy."[1][5]
