Michel Tremblay

Michel Tremblay is a Canadian novelist, playwright, and translator from Quebec, widely regarded as one of the most important figures in Canadian theatre. He rose to prominence with Les Belles-Soeurs (1968), a groundbreaking play written in joual that gave voice to working-class Montreal life and helped transform Quebec theatre.
